Students are required to design, build, and program two robots to compete in a dynamic game of robot soccer against an opposing pair of robots.
In RCAP 2022, RoboCupJunior Soccer is virtual competition only.

- all members are 13 and below
- Secondary age group:
- At least one member in the team is 14 or above.
- All members are 19 or below.

- 15 October 2022 – Deadline for online registration and TDP submission
- 30 October 2022 – Announcement of all qualified teams
- 4 November 2022 – Technical challenge released
- 11 November 2022 – Technical challenge video submission closes
- 12 November 2022 – Team video submission closes
- 13 November 2022 – Team presentations interview, and Q&A (live on zoom)
- 26 November 2022 – Award ceremony
